With an extension of 1,192 Ha, it is the largest lagoon in the Delta. This lagoon is connected to the sea through the Canal de Sant Pere. It is the saltiest seawater inlet in Delta de l'Ebre and determines the characteristics of the other lagoons. The water in the lagoon is sweet, because it is influenced by the rice fields. Therefore, it is sweeter during the summer months, and saltier during the winter months.
