At the edge of the continental towers, between the line of Amposta and Sant Carles de la Ràpita, we find the Ullals de Baltassar. They are underground water cores or freshwater springs under the ground. Eucalyptus forests and the presence of water lilies are also distinctive of this area, declared a fishing refuge and local hunting reserve.
